The future of Cognitive Behavioral Play Therapy
Susan M. Knell, founder of Cognitive Behavioral Play Therapy, and Maria Angela Geraci, founder of the CBPT Research Center, discuss their experience as developmental psychotherapists and the need for a therapeutic approach effective even with very young children.
Guided by this objective, they are engaged today in the dissemination of CBPT and in research applying the method to different issues and contexts — an approach that has been spreading internationally in recent years.

The Cognitive Behavioral Play Therapy manual
An event marking the introduction of the Cognitive Behavioral Play Therapy manual by Maria Geraci, published by Armando Editore. CBPT is a psychotherapy intervention that adapts empirically supported CBT techniques within a play setting for young children.
The approach emphasizes the direct involvement of the child in the therapeutic process and schedules regular meetings with parents to monitor progress, support the parent–child interaction and guide the achievement of therapeutic goals. Learn more about the CBPT method.
