Clinical direction and scientific work
Maria A. Geraci is Director of the CBPT Research Center. She is a developmental and educational psychologist and a cognitive-behavioral psychotherapist, with the specialization in CBT Psychotherapy obtained at the Humanitas School of Specialization in Rome (LUMSA University).
She specialized in Psychological Evaluation at Sapienza University of Rome and earned a Master's in Play Therapy from the International Academy for Play Therapy in Lugano. As a CBT psychotherapist, she addresses the cognitive-behavioral aspects of Neurodevelopmental Disorders through a biopsychosocial approach, and is part of the CBPT-Learning Team — acknowledged by the Lazio Region for DSA certification — at the CBPT Research Center.

Training and teaching
For 18 years she has worked in schools as a school psychologist, focusing on the analysis of and intervention in behavior, education and organization, and has served as a trainer and school psychologist in more than 100 schools.
In clinical settings she has consistently evaluated and intervened in Neurodevelopmental Disorders such as Specific Learning Disorder (SLD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).

She is the author of national and international publications on Neurodevelopmental Disorders, coping and Cognitive Behavioral Play Therapy, and editor of the "Play Therapy" series published by Armando Editore.
